A major security flaw came to light on Tuesday night (11/28/2017) within the latest version of Apple’s macOS High Sierra that could allow anyone administrative privileges by simply using the username “root” and no password.
Apple said it was “working on a software update to address this issue” and advised users to set a root password to prevent unauthorized access to Mac computers.
